Monday Already Gone

Take a little "French- Fry" and the days go by even faster - if possible.

I made it to town this afternoon to pick up some things for the garden and Lowes did not even have any metla fence posts or sweet potato slips? That one store just does not keep the supplies that you need but it is closer to me and with my undependable eyes I try to keep the trips as close as possible.

The other Lowes is further away but they have a better supply of things.

Start Of A New Week

I guess you wonder what in the world is that???????? Me too - that is what happens when your kids "fix" a hole in the tiller gas tank??? And - it worked for them for 3 days -but when Mom was allowed to use it - No it does not work???  The gas has started to degrade the plastic bag they melted over the hole .

So, I have spent time on the computer today attempting to track down a new gas tank. I have a few leads but have to try to connect with them tomorrow.

This would be so much nicer - that madic is just wearing my shoulders and back totally out - attempting to hand dig my garden.

I did take time to "stop and smell" the flowers . lol  No, this Tickseed really does not have a fragrance but I sure do love it anyway.  It was very dark and rainy today . Sure do wish I could have had my beans planted.

The mosquitoes are driving me nuts already this year. They love to sneak in the house and I have been using Witch Hazel on the bites.I never knew before this year you could use it for that. Learn something new all the time.

End of the Week - Sure Did Fly By

I am sure that I understand why it is that YOUNG people have babies - they are soooo full of life.

Silver Wings

I went today with my Son, Daughter-in-law, two grandsons and my granddaughter and her best friend to the airport .  Dainelle and her best friend who is also her cousin in the car on the way . She Hates pictures so she was trying to ignore me.

First Cory took us out for lunch at the Firehouse  so Dainelle could leave with a full tummy. But after all the hours we waited I bet her tummy is rumbling long before she gets to her destination.

Her folks really did not want to see her go. He Mom cried almost the whole time.

She did not even show any sign of being nervous with this upcoming new chapter in her life.

I was surprised at how professionally she handled her chccking in and asking all the right questions. This is a kid who has never been away from home.

Then up the escalator the whole crew tromped.

The whole crew managed to survive the 3 hour wait.

Mom and Daughter almost look like sisters and they have always hung out together.

They call for her flight and she is ready.

Yep, Mom is still crying. It was at this stage that they almost canceled her flight due to weather???

And my baby granddaughter is off on a completely new chapter of her life.

Monday

I really felt rotten today so I only worked in the garden just a tad. Then Crystal and Tim came and got the car that had broke down yesterday with my Grandson  up here . So, it is not on the side of the road anymore.

I sat and watched them work on a Tiny House that they are hoping to use when Crystal sells her house in town one day.

I was good and tired so I came to the house and got a bowl and picked some  lambs-quarter , which is a wild weed in our area. I fixed it and a potato salad with white potatoes and sweet potatoes and that was very good. Then I topped it off with a beans dish that had eggs on top so you could break the eggs and have a type of sauce. The beans dish had onions and Worcester sauce and catsup  in it with a little bacon on the side because my daughter loves bacon. That took all evening to do and it was gone in 20 minutes and I washed the dishes all up and dark is here.

Grandmothers & Great-grandmothers can have busy days?

First you can have a "Gamer-Grandson" who blows up his car. ~smile~

Then you can have a Granddaughter turn the big 20 who has never been away from home who is moving to South Dakota to start a whole new life?????

You can have Grandson's who come in all shapes and sizes. This one of course - LOVES Chocolate cake and ice cream - so a birthday party is a good thing to him. lol

You can have a daughter-in - law who works hard to keep her family happy.

Leave a happy birthday party and take another Granddaughter and Great-Granddaughter to the school play area to burn off some energy.

Watch a "real- swinger" and remember when it was you????   63 years ago - that is. lol

She's not even scared of hights like I always was-and still am to be truthful.

Even knows how to catch a moment.

Is curious about everything???

Isn't afraid to go "Caving" . lol

Rides wild dinosaurs

.

Rides "dirt bikes " on the "track" .

Makes beautiful faces at just the joy of living.

Has a Mama who loves her.

Knows how to catch a "breeze"

Has beautiful blue eyes that I can still see.

And who just watching with Joy can tire an old Grandmother/ Great-grandmother out???  What a lovely day.  Now if only my pups could get to feel better and enjoy ?

I am sooooooooooooooooo glad I got to savor this day.

A busy day

Even too busy for a picture. Grabbed my granddaughter, great-granddaughter and grandson and spent the day with my son and his family on a Going Away Family get together for my Baby granddaughter who is moving from Va. to South Dakota!

Lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Boy they sure can multiply when your head is turned! lol
